Capital Pride

Capital Pride kicked off this past Friday and seems to be off to an excellent start! Be sure to check out the website http://www.capitalpride.ca/ for events and updates.

Our Pride window display is off to a slow start due to our skills not being able to keep up with our imaginations. We hope you'll stop by the store to see how it all works out, or maybe to pick up a colourful outfit for the Pride parade. My personal favourite is this shiny style from Red Corner. Available S-L in teal for $59.99 or purple for $69.99.

Our lingerie ranges in size from XS to XXL as available from our supplier because all bodies are beautiful and deserve to flaunt what they got.

Diversity. Equality. Solidarity. Happy Pride from all of us at Pleasures N' Treasures :)

Store Update

Like many of you, we are settling into summer. The humidity and construction may have set in, but there's still so many reasons to get outside and try to enjoy the season -- the deals available at our store, for example. Here's what you can look forward to in store:

Lingerie Reduced 40%

I'm amazed I haven't written about this yet! A short while ago, many of our lingerie items were reduced 40%. Next time you're in the store, look for green stickers to see what has been recent;y reduced.
Prices listed are alreadythe reduced price and do not include taxes.

Gay movies available at 3 for $10

You read that right: 3 movies for just $10!
We recently received a shipment of gay movies which have been set for liquidation. They are primarily interracial titles and are on for a great price.
Only available while supplies last. Must buy 3+ movies to get deal price; individually priced at $10 each.

Reduced Movies

Some of our movies have been dropped a price point. For your convenience, they are all grouped together towards the entrance to our DVD section. And be sure to remember that any time you buy two movies at the same price point you get one of our multibuy specials and save money.

Lots of New $9.95 Titles

We got a massive shipment of $9.95 movies (about 300!). Some are restocks of favourites, some are brand spankin' new. In particular, we've got a load of Black Market titles available at this price.

Store News

• Welcome to Leah, our new assistant manager! She seems to be off to a great start. obviously, no one can replace Chantel, but we're sure Leah will bring her own charm and skill to the post.
• We have a fantastic new dancer pole display and a new window display! Although we completely understand the temptation, please refrain from in-store dance demonstrations.
• We've rearranged our lingerie and DVDs! We're expecting this will make it easier for you to find exactly what you're looking for quickly & efficiently. Remember: if there's anything you can't find in store, our staff is happy to help. We're always looking for ways to improve, so if there's something we don't carry even though we really should, let us know :)

Just the Tip: Shopping on a budget? Look for toys with the batteries included to save yourself time & fuss, such as Les Petites bullets, $22.99 (even includeds a textured bullet sleeve). Look for toys with multiple features or uses: some double-ended dildos will have different shapes on each end, and many vibrating cockrings are similarly priced to other bullet vibes but include their namesake cockring feature.

Store News

It has been about 2 weeks since the website was revamped, and what a two weeks it has been!

• Chantel - the badass lady in the bandanna we all know and love - has been promoted! She is now the manager at our Merivale location. Congratulations Chantel! We wish you well in your new post and are jealous that the Merivale employees get you instead of us.
• We have a twitter account ( https://twitter.com/PNTRideau). Follow us for news, deals, and inane commentary.
• Our stock and advice pages are slowly but surely shaping up. Remember: these stock pages are only meant to give you an idea of what's in store. We have a lot more stock, and get new shipments in regularly.
• We have some neat new stock: ben wa balls ("Pleasure Pearls", $24.95), douche kits starting at $10.95, and a new clit stim cream about which we've already heard great things ("On" 5ml, menthol free, $29.95).
• Our overzealous bloggirl is off to a good start on theme days, and has two more porn reviews already cued up and ready to go.

JUST THE TIP: Do you like porn? Sex toys and lube? How about product knowledge, personable employees, and customer service? We'll let you in on a trade secret: Pleasures N' Treasures is hiring at both of our Ottawa locations. If interested, please stop by the location you'd like to work at (491 Rideau Street / 866 Merivale Rd) to introduce yourself and submit a resume.
