In the heart of the market is Kinki Sushi, an Asian fusion restaurant that has managed to make quite a name for itself. Of particular interest is their naked sushi nights, where models are used as platters for the evening's meal.

If you've stopped by recently, you may have noticed there's something a little... different about our store.

We're all a tad obsessed with Halloween. Can ya tell?

Here's some of the latest and greatest things happening at our little shop of horrors and whores (haha):

• We've gone sticker crazy
  There's signs all about the store to highlight staff picks and Halloween treats. We hope this helps make our store more accessible and our staff more familiar.
• We've got new BDSM gear
  We've got fish hook gags and combination crop / feather tickler tools. We have shock therapy kits and basic whips. We have several kinds of eye masks and hand cuffs. Best of all, we have staff willing to talk to you about our selection so you can find the toy best suited to your interests.
• We've got a broad range of DVDs available
  I can't emphasize enough how impressive our selection has been lately. I keep getting distracted reading covers when I'm supposed to be sorting stock. We have adult diaper titles, a slew of Barefoot and Pregnant videos, and a bunch of sexy women of colour pornstars (specifically, we have a lot of stuff with Pinky). 
• We've added sub-sections to our DVD sales area

To make it even easier, ask a staff member to point you in the right direction for the section you're looking for. No, really -- we all get pretty bored and / or lonely during our long shifts. A couple came in today and told me that someone had added a sticker to our window, one which reads "Does Jesus go in with you?". Not only am I appreciative that they took the time to tell me, but one of them went on to say the following (I'm paraphrasing a bit here):
"I want to put another sticker up saying "yes", because Jesus walks with me. I'm Christian, and I have sex, so there it is."
Seriously, we have the best customers.

Store Update

• We are now aiming to change our mannequin display on a weekly basis. We invite you to stop by and see what our valued plastic employees are wearing this week.
• We're shifting to a new stocking system for our rentals. The tabs look a little different, but everything else is the same. The great news? The rentals section and process will remain the same, but it will be quicker for us to find your rentals or locate discs that have been put in the wrong case.

JUST THE TIP: We know that when you bring home a toy, cleaning isn't the first thing on your mind, but it should be. Toys are shipped from all over the world, handled by clerks and shifted through factories, and then often checked by employees in store or examined by curious customers. • Welcome to Leah, our new assistant manager! She seems to be off to a great start. obviously, no one can replace Chantel, but we're sure Leah will bring her own charm and skill to the post.

Just the Tip: Shopping on a budget? Look for toys with the batteries included to save yourself time & fuss, such as Les Petites bullets, $22.99 (even includeds a textured bullet sleeve). Feature Friday: Glass Toys

I have a new-found weakness for glass products. Thanks to "Joy" of the Reflections collection by Doc Johnson and "The Thorn" by GlassTIX, I can now share this love of mine with you, oh faceless masses of yon internet.

A Little Local Lovin'

Rideau St is a strange and wonderful place, full of strange and wonderful people One of the many things Rideau has to offer is a Canada Computers retail store. I am far from computer savvy, but I can spot good service, and my better informed friends assure me their prices are equally impressive.

Recently, I had been slowly mulling over and dreading the cost of fixing my desktop. The staff at Canada Computers offered me a lot of free advice, gave me suggestions that saved me money (partially by preventing me from spending money on their diagnostics services), and even encouraged me to buy parts, test out if they fixed the problem, and return them if they didn't. Basically, I was really impressed, and wanted to give them a shout out for being awesome. It helps a lot that the manager has the sort of terrible sense of humour that I so readily enjoy.

Besides, I figure Canada Computers and Pleasures N' Treasures have a lot in common. After all, the prevalence of the personal computer makes it easy to watch porn privately. Especially speaking as a person with a roommate, I am quite pleased to have my desktop up and running again.

Our store has some new faces and a new computer system. As you may have guessed, this means we're dealing with some growing pains, but all in the name of progress. Here are some of the things you can look forward to:

• More updates! We have an overzealous bloggirl who has taken on the project of revamping the site. She may be the only one who notices or cares, or maybe she'll become internet famous: only time will tell. Be sure to leave a comment if there's something you think we should add to the blog, or to the store.
• New releases! Porn is a big industry, so there's always something new coming out. Personally, I'm most excited for Buffy the Vampire Slayer XXX: a Porn Parody. It's in store now, for rental or purchase! I expect it will be the next porn review up here. Speaking of....
• Theme days! I'm hoping to do "Titular Title Tuesdays" and "Fun Favourites Fridays" (the titles are... still a work in progress). These will be movie reviews and staff picks so that you can get some ideas of what to look for in store.
